2006 ‧ Drama/Sci-fi ‧ 87 min ‧ 12+
Ivan is a young scientist. He is assigned to work in a closed research institute.
A special device was invented in this research institute. The device measures one’s Index, which is shown in a numeric value. However, no one knows what this value really means.
Ivan is a sincere person, who is devoted to science and seeks the truth. Other scientists resist recognizing his talent and ambitions.
A group of people (“examined”) live in the institute. They are not allowed to leave the institute's grounds. They are the research’s subjects. Ivan is particularly interested in one of them - Rita. Her Index is unusually high - it is 977.
Ivan feels that he is on the verge of understanding the nature of this phenomenon, when, due to unexpected circumstances that happened during the course of work, the research is closed.
He must make up his mind to conduct an experiment…
